Cpanel comes with a number of useful features. One essential aspect of SPAM FILTERS may be useful for the aforementioned applications. This functionality can be used to manage either a domain or an individual email address. It’s a short process that will just take a few minutes, and then you’re done dealing with your inbox.
It’s worth noting that this procedure is only relevant to individual recipients and not to servers. You’ve probably heard of APACHE SPAMASSASSIN. It’s the most widely used spam filter. Let’s walk through the process of activating and configuring it.
Definition of Black listing and whitelisting of email address:
Blacklisting simply means banning email from a specific address; this will prevent any email from that address from reaching your inbox; whitelisting, on the other hand, implies that email from the selected whitelisted ID will reach your inbox regardless of spam filtering.
Receiving emails in your spam folders simply implies you need to switch your email ID setting from black to white. In summary, blacklisting an email ID prevents emails from reaching your inbox, whereas whitelisting an email ID allows all emails from that ID to enter your inbox.
How to add an email address on a blacklist in cPanel
Log in to your cPanel account.Click the “Spam Filters” link or icon in the “Email” section
Scroll down to the section titled “Additional Configurations (For Advanced Users).”Select “Show Additional Configurations” from the drop-down menu.
Browse to the section under “Blacklist (Emails Never Allowed).” Select “Edit Spam Blacklist Settings” from the drop-down menu.
Select “Add a New ‘blacklist from’ Item” from the drop-down menu.
You can use the following options when entering addresses to blacklist or whitelist:
*@demoexample.com — To whitelist all of the addresses at demoexample.com. email@example.com — To whitelist a particular email address.
firstname.lastname@example.org — To whitelist a single character in a demoexample.com address (for example, email@example.com but not firstname.lastname@example.org).
Fill in the email address you’d like to ban. Select “Update Blacklist (blacklist from)” from the drop-down menu.
Although there is a success message, the cPanel interface can make it look like nothing has changed. That can be a little perplexing at first, but as you add more items, you’ll notice how the list is organized.

To remove an item from your blacklist, click the “X” icon next to the item you want to remove.
How to add an email address on a white List in cPanel?
Whitelisting is done in the “Whitelist (Emails Always Allowed)” section, following the same methods as blacklisting.

With the evolution of digitized words, spam filtering has come a long way, but you may still need to intervene and highlight blacklist and whitelist emails in cPanel from time to time. Which, of course, has ludicrous consequences.
